Using x-rays and a computer, CT scans produce images of a cross-section of the body to: evaluate the body's internal organs, detect broken bones and look at major blood vessels in the brain and body.

Radiologists create real time, high-resolution images for more accurate diagnoses during fluoroscopy. Fluoroscopy is used to examine the upper and lower gastrointestinal (GI) tracts as well as the urinary tract.

MRI uses a large magnet, radio waves and a computer to produce detailed, cross sectional images of the human body with x-rays. MRI is know for producing high-quality images of the body's soft-tissues.

Ultrasound uses sound waves to produce images of the body. These images help physicians evaluate symptoms such as pain, swelling and infection as well as to examine many of the body's internal organs.

An x-ray is a diagnostic test that uses a small amount of radiation to create digital images of structures within the body.
