Endoscopy Services

Yavapai Regional Medical Center’s Endoscopy Services is committed to service excellence and top-quality patient care. An important part of this commitment is to inform you about our services.

Let’s begin by defining endoscopy. During endoscopy, a physician inserts a lighted, flexible tube with a video camera called an endoscope into the body. Guiding the endoscope, the doctor looks for problems and treats disorders. This is called a minimally invasive procedure, meaning it’s done without surgery.

Your doctor may prescribe endoscopy to:
  • Screen for colon cancer (colonoscopy)
  • Identify and treat upper gastrointestinal conditions
  • Diagnosis lung nodules and other respiratory conditions
  • Insert or replace a feeding tube
  • Band hemorrhoids
