YRMC Offers Free Respiratory Wellness Classes

The Respiratory Wellness Program at Yavapai Regional Medical Center is offering all area residents a series of free respiratory wellness classes, with different sessions scheduled at YRMC West in Prescott and YRMC East in Prescott Valley. COPD educators will lead all classes, which are an outreach program of YRMC’s Cardiopulmonary Laboratory.

YRMC West The respiratory wellness classes at YRMC West will all be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

• May 6: “COPD Overview,” Spruce Room
• May 20: “Oxygen Therapy,” Granite Room
• June 3: “COPD Infection Control,” Spruce Room
• June 17: “Breathe Better, Eat Better,” Granite Room
• July 8: “COPD Medication,” Spruce Room
• July 23: “Breathe Better – Get in Shape,” Bradshaw Room

YRMC East The respiratory wellness classes at YRMC East will all be held from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

• May 7: “COPD Overview,” Pronghorn Room
• May 21: “Staying Well,” Pronghorn Room
• June 11: “Living Well With Asthma,” Pronghorn Room
• June 25: “Food for Thought,” Pronghorn Room
• July 2: “7 Steps for Controlling COPD,” Pronghorn Room
• July 16: “Oxygen Therapy 101,” Quail Room

All YRMC West and YRMC East respiratory wellness classes are offered at no charge, though registration is requested. Please call (928) 771-5103 to register or for more information.
