In support of our Vision of a Total Healing Environment, YRMC now keeps our medical records electronically. We are committed to the most efficient, accurate and secure record keeping possible. This means better care for you, our patient.

An Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is a patient medical record, generated and managed via a secure computer network in a hospital. YRMC's EMR – known as Project CARE – replaces paper charting and traditional file storage. Through this technology we are able to consolidate our patients' medical records and streamline our patient care process, allowing us to be more efficient with our patient information. Project CARE Will...

• Reduce the need for duplicate testing due to results that are missing or incomplete
• Allow multiple caregivers to access patient information at the same time, from different locations
• Keep track of drug-to-drug and drug allergy information
• Reduce the amount of paperwork you are asked to complete
